Breitbart, editor for the Drudge Report and a media figure in his own right, confronted Max Blumenthal at CPAC over Blumenthal’s article on James O’Keefe (summary: the dude who spied on ACORN maybe is somewhat of a white nationalist).
Breitbart’s not done yet. He is having so much fun he now wants to take down the “institutional left,” and he believes this will happen “within the next three weeks”:
He might be referring to his appearance on former Congressman (and radio personality!) Ernest Istook’s Harvard Institute of Politics study group, “Propaganda in American Politics.” Breitbart is scheduled to be a guest speaker next week, which falls within the deadline he gave on a Fox News show that attracts more viewers at 3AM than CNN at 8PM.
This is a must-not-miss event. What better way to take down the institutional left than to corrupt influence the minds of young Harvard intellectuals who will lead the institutions? It worked for Peggy Noonan.
(EDIT: Didn’t happen. Some anti-global warming guy came instead. The institutional left survives.)
(Click to enlarge. Excuse me for the quality of the picture, as I was running the L4D2 demo from my college laptop.)
The background: Valve recently released the Left 4 Dead 2 demo. Although the only game play mode officially offered is the standard survival bout, it took only about a week for members of the online community to figure out how to modify the files to allow people to play as the infected (zombies). This semi-versus mode is not perfect, however, and as a result every time a player switches between human and infected the system creates an extra survivor clone. This process can be repeated over a dozen times. Since there are only four character models for the survivors, continuous switching ensures that there are multiple copies of the same character. Yes, it’s awesome. The only downside is that the game still caps the total number of human players at four, which means that most of the survivor characters will be AI.
The story behind the picture: Three other players and I decided to spawn the maximum number of survivors using the mod/glitch technique so that we could fight them as infected in expert difficulty. There is a point in the second level of the Parish campaign where all the survivors must enter a trailer, close the door, and open another door that leads to a tower with an alarm that must be switched off. Sometimes the AI was unresponsive and would just stay stuck inside the trailer (they would also not stop repeating the same lines). The only way to kill them was to enter the trailer. I took this picture late in the game when only a few survivors were still alive. It shows multiple dead “Ellis” models one after another, partly covered by one of the remaining “Nick” models. We won the game shortly after.
My friend Michael Druker, a graduate student studying behavioral neuroscience at the University of Waterloo, has been writing on his blog Psystenance about planning and transit issues in the Kitchner/Waterloo area (in Ontario, Canada if you didn’t know), and other fascinating topics. You should take a look.
In a riveting documentary of monumental proportions, Alex Jones will provide indisputable evidence that will prove what people have suspected all along: Obama is entirely Caucasian.
Here is the DVD cover for The Obama Deception:
I’m guessing it’s Tony Blair behind the mask, just because it would bridge well with the Lyndon LaRouche conspiracies.
If you want to get a copy of this smoking-gun evidence before hundreds of Ron Paul supporters put the movie on YouTube, you can buy it here.
A couple of weeks old but it doesn’t have too many views to show for, especially considering the sheer degree of awesome which is this video [Nancy Pelosi's YouTube Channel, via somebody's LJ]:
Glenn Beck, closeted Ron Paul fan and former CNN show host, got a gig with Fox News. His new show joins the ranks of The O’Reilly Factor and Hannity and Colmes, further providing the fair and balanced news Fox execs like to brag about.
Why Beck deserves a separate post more than, say, Mike Huckabee getting a show on Fox (was that really a surprise?) is because of this:
Now that the Comrade Update has been “Drudged” it is sure to become a recurring segment, if only because it has the best intro ever. As an added bonus, if you watch the whole video you will hear a black minister claim that socialism has caused 70% of black babies nationwide to be born out of wedlock. Perhaps their black parents are interpreting the phrase “married to the revolution” literally?
Another Obama nominee under fire for family’s tax issues. [CNN] In sharp contrast to Tom Daschle, this one has absolutely no redeeming qualities of any significance, such as a smoking awesome pair of glasses. Perhaps this circus (Drudge made the term officially applicable to the situation) will finally indicate to the political class that the tax code must become less byzantine—but that’s hoping for too much.
There is a 30-minute advertisement on CNBC right now (2:00 AM ET) for the “Barack Obama Presidential Coin Set.” Montel Williams is co-hosting the ad, which is the only reason why I’m still watching. I’m half-expecting him to reveal Obama’s real birth certificate as the half-hour ends (EDIT: didn’t happen). Besides comparing Obama to JFK and George Washington, the hosts are being purposely ambiguous in their descriptions of the Obama coins. At one point they implied that the coins came from the US Mint, even though there is no affiliation between the US Mint and the US Coin Network. One of the hosts also said: “These coins have the full faith and credit of our government, so they will always have value…this is US currency, it will always have intrinsic value.” Apparently this was taped back when the dollar could actually buy a bucket’s worth of spit. From their website:
Yes, Please send me the Special 4-coin Collectors Edition, including the Presidential Dollar and the JFK Half Dollar, each with the life like image of Obama as the man who changed the world, all for just $19.95 plus shipping and handling. I am covered by the 60-day money back guarantee.
On CNN someone bought 30 minutes to sell Obama victory plates [Victory Plates].
P.S.: The Obama coin advertisement on CNBC was followed by a “how to make money in real state” infomercial. So far the hosts have said that you don’t need money, credit, or experience to get started. Are they also selling hope and change? [CNN]
Barack Obama, John McCain, and Joe Biden, along with the rest of the Senate except Ted Kennedy, were in town for the bailout vote this evening. The text of the Senate resolution, which was approved 74-25, can be found here.
We don’t feel expert enough to opine at great length about the bailout at this moment; what we will report is that the biggest portion of the student population here at Harvard College, including the editorial staff of the Crimson, seems to be in favor. We note that this is totally expected.
Various events in international politics are surely slipping past many people’s radars due to the current financial crisis:
The Senate decided to take care of some other random business before the bailout vote (because figured that Barack and John Sidney couldn’t hightail it out of there before they cast their yea for that?), like passing some motion for the railroad safety bill (more random tidbit: Joe Biden didn’t vote on that motion) that got a boost from the recent L.A. train wreck, and the U.S.-India nuclear deal, which was ratified 86-13.
Potentially, India is our new China. (but who are the new Henry Kissinger and Zhou Enlai?) Depending on how the bilateral relationship pans out over the years, this could end up as the-one-universally praised-accomplishment-by-an-otherwise-terrible-president, i.e., exactly how Nixon is remembered with regards to his China policy.
On the other hand, North Korea was in the news again—Christopher Hill (who is now more famous in Korea than Coca Cola) is in Pyongyang trying to save the disarmament deal after the North Koreans started rebuilding their nuclear facilities.
The mainstream media isn’t giving him any coverage, but here at K/P we can see that Ron Paul, despite his total irrelevance due to his entire constituency having been “disappeared” by FEMA, is spearheading the House GOP’s revolt against the Paulson-Wall St. socialist bailout plan.
Also we will liveblog the debate, if it happens. Do you think Barack will do a concert instead if McCain doesn’t show up? Will McCain call his opponent Osama? We sure hope so; stay tuned.
Last week various news outlets reported that Al-Qaeda planned to release a new video on the seventh anniversary of the September 11 attacks. It now appears that good ol’ hackers blocked their effort:
Western intelligence suspects two hackers who have targeted Islamicist sites before were responsible: Aaron Weisburd from Internet Haganah and Rusty Shackleford from the web group My Pet Jawa.
